Please note that if you are under 21, you will not be able to visit the site mentioned in this post. Sorry!
Ya, it’s Labor Day! Drinks. Grilled foods. Enjoying a free day off of work (unless you’re a blogger, and then it’s work a little now/party a lot later). And football! Well, for me and every other Seminoles fan out there. Our first game is tonight and I can not wait! If you are a Facebook friend (not follower of fan page) then you might have noticed I mentioned something about getting alcohol in for a post not too long ago. Patron Tequila has arrived just in time for cocktails tonight.
You don’t often see me talk about alcohol on here. I post a few drink recipes here and there, but I try not to go overboard with them. When offered Patron Silver Tequila though, well you just don’t say no. Plus, after looking through the cocktail recipes on the Patron website I’m all ready to try several new ones. I just have to find some of the ingredients that were mentioned in them.
Typically, I’m a good ole plain jane margarita drinker. I happen to like a good margarita made with lime and tequila. I don’t need all fancy schmancy. Heck, I don’t even like salt on the rim. I actually knock the salt off the rim into my drink. Then stir it up in there. Nom nom nom.
I mentioned before that Patron Tequila has several cocktail recipes on their site. With summer coming to an end, and it being a holiday and all, this Mango Mint Mojito sounds about perfect right now.
- 2 oz Patrón Citrónge Mango
- 3 oz Fresh lemonade
- 3 oz Unsweetened iced tea
- 6-8 Mint leaves
- Tear mint leaves and add to a tall glass over ice.
- Pour remaining ingredients, stir and serve.
- Garnish with lemon wheel and mint.
Now if you are a bit artsy, and you manage to finish off an entire bottle of Patron, then you may just want to enter to win yourself $10,000 in the Art of Patron bottle art contest. You have until October 4th, 2016 to finish that tequila and make your artsy project. I’m working on my bottle as we speak. Working on drinking the tequila that is.
