I happen to be slightly in love with this time of year. It has my favorite holidays: Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. It has cooler temps which means those dang mosquitos are off hiding. And beautiful night skies. I mean really gorgeous night skies. Something about fall and the stars just looking so great together. But my love of the stars and autumn is for another post on another day. Today it is all about the holidays. Well, one holiday. Halloween!
Halloween has to be my kids favorite holiday. My oldest was born two days before Halloween, and let me tell you- she loves the holiday more than anyone I know. She’s all scary movies, and dressing up, and steering clear of clowns. Every year she wants a Halloween themed party. Last year we went a bit over the top. Of course I didn’t get any pictures. I was busy celebrating with my loves.
Halloween wouldn’t be Halloween without the candy though. And if you are throwing a Halloween party, you better have some candy somewhere! I’m here to help you see how quick and easy it is to throw together a simple Halloween Candy Buffet using Celebration by Frey candies. Super quick. Super simple. And super inexpensive decorations.
Everything decoration wise and holding food/candy was purchased at The Dollar Tree. The cupcake tiers there, well that’s two plates, a bowl, and a coffee cup. Simply turn your bowl upside down, turn your mug upside down (make sure your mug is tall enough to give you clearance to stack the plates overlapping), layer your plates on top of the bottoms you’ve now made, and viola instant goody display stand!
Celebration by Frey candies come in a crazy selection of colors and themes for just about any occasion. The eyes on my cupcakes are Celebration by Frey Googlie Eyes and Nerds Filled Spooky Eyes Gumballs.
We added a spooky spiderweb bowl filled with the Nerds Filled Spooky Eyes, Pumpkin Faces, Sixlets, and black gumballs. Halloween themed color Sixlets are over in a coffin for those who really love their Sixlets. Black, orange, and white gumballs are spread around in fun spooky containers. And you’ll find extra Googlie Eyes in the smaller coffin.
Decorate using spider webbing, plastic creepy crawlies, confetti, and skeleton hands. You are bound to have a spooktacular Halloween candy buffet. With out much effort! You can find the Celebration by Frey and Sixlets candies online and at retailers like Wal-Mart. Hobby Lobby, Meijer’s, and more.
Thinking that the cupcake icing looks complicated. Um nope. Not at all. It was THIS TIP. Just kinda spread in different directions. I can’t decide if it looks mummyish or wormish. Either way, it looks kinda gross. Perfect for munching on during your Halloween bash.
